McKenzie Friend Support
Support for people representing themselves in court, where permitted.
About this service
A McKenzie Friend can accompany someone who is representing themselves in court, for example to take notes, help with papers and quietly offer support. We provide McKenzie Friend support where the court permits it.
A McKenzie Friend is not a legal representative and can only address the court if the judge allows it.
What we can help with
- Support for litigants in person
- Help with papers and note-taking, where permitted
